The Rough House couldn’t be more pleased to present it’s very first festival, The Puppy Tears Festival of Experimental Puppetry. Not experimental in the sense that someone is going to be mixing chemicals, or even defecating into a Theremin as might be expected of experimental performance art, but experimental in that these are all new works! Works from the hippest and up-and-comingest puppet artists in Chicago! Arists like:
Meredith Miller and the sad Soliloquy of Bubbles, the dead Mermaid
Julia Miller (not related… as far as everyone knows) presenting the ballad of Lula del Ray
Jason Adams presenting Flight- a toy theater telling of the Icarus Legend!
The sketchy puppet roommates of Crash Pad
Michael Wise and Wasteboy
And of course, us, The Rough House, bringing you the all new IchthyOddyssey- a fish-puppet-rock-opera.
